Dirt is something we are often reluctant to confront and prefer others to deal with. I aim to draw attention to other ways of looking at dirt, rust and decay. Often people don’t see the painterly marks on walls or the intensity of the orange in rust and pass by oblivious. Instead of looking at the flaws ageing creates I focused on the beauty that it holds. This series of work questions what so many of us see as ugly.
