Rathlin Residency
A week-long residency on Rathlin Island taking part in the Future Island-Island research project, working alongside a group of artists, researchers, scientists, architects and the local community, to explore greener design outcomes.
I ran a series of print workshops, where participants printed using scavenged seaweed and plastic gathered from Rathlin beach. We also scratched images into used empty tetra packs. So often we think of prints from a machine, this gave time to slow down & appreciate the detail of the handmade.
This opportunity was funded by the Arts and Humanities Research Council and delivered in partnership with the Design Museum, being the largest publicly funded design research and innovation programme in the UK.
