Limbo
I often question what happens when a person dies. Heaven and Hell is never something I can imagine. The closest I get is Limbo, which is neither here nor there, in or out. It’s a concept that I have always felt troubling. Limbo is thought to be perpetual, and will remain after the end of the world. The light, positioning and gesture suggest a religious undertone to this series of work. I wanted to create a feeling of otherworldliness, an unknown and yet a sense of calm for the viewer.
